Kiwanis Elm Grove in Action

BEHS

We sponsor this 110+ members at Brookfield East High School, this Key Club participates in scores of service projects per year.  Annually we award academic scholarships to graduating senior club members.   In joint effort with BCHS, both clubs also coordinate on several inter-school community projects.

We sponsor this 350+ member Kiwanis family service club at Brookfield Central High School.  This Key Club participates in scores of service projects per year.  Annually we award academic scholarships to graduating senior club members.

Local Food Bank

Local Food Bank

We collect boxes of cereal monthly and annually raise funds for the Waukesha Food Bank.  Annually we  plant, cultivate and harvest approximately 1250 pounds of  vegetables at the BSA Scout Community Garden for the Waukesha Food Bank.

The Kiwanis Elm Grove Club charters many units around Elm Grove. Cub Scout Pack 156, at Tonawanda Elementary, and Pack 32, at St. Mary’s Visitation, are for kids Kindergarten to 5th grade. Pack 32 is for boys. Pack 156 is for boys and girls. Scouts BSA Troops 32, at St. Mary’s Visitation, and Troop 156, at Pilgrim Park Middle School, are

Since 2005, more than $405,000 has been disbursed throughout the community to support the Philanthropic activities (primarily for youth) of the Elm Grove Kiwanis Club. Funds are managed and accounted for through the Elm Grove Kiwanis Club, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit, organization.

The Club’s Foundation has made donations and done maintenance to Potawatomi Area Council’s Camp Long Lake Kiwanis Cabin. For information about Camp Long Lake, go to pacbsa.org.

We participate in the “Adopt a Highway” program on a three-mile stretch of Highway K (Lisbon Road) going west from Pilgrim Road.

With community support, Kiwanis saves prescription medicine bottles and donate them to a Milwaukee center city clinic.

Kiwanis collects and donates books for children and purchases books to honor our weekly speakers, then donates them to the Elm Grove and Brookfield Libraries.
